Colorado Springs Fleet Management division maintains over 4,500 vehicles and pieces of equipment for the City, Colorado Springs Utilities, CSPD, Colorado Springs Airport, PPRTA and many other customers and has been named one of the 100 Best Fleets the last two years running.  Every year, the city's vehicles travel over 10 million miles.  Fleet’s 46 mechanics service over 50 different types of equipment and vehicles at 9 locations, including a full-service Body Shop.  Fleet has four of the eight blue-seal ASE certified shops in the city and our mechanics are over 98% certified as ASE technicians (60% master certified).  Fleet is also responsible for purchasing fuel for the entire City, Colorado Springs Utilities and Transit operations, and from 2005-2007, Fleet's fuel contracts saved the city (and the citizens) over $1.2 million.  Beginning in 2006, Fleet is supplying bio-diesel at all fueling locations, making Fleet the second largest single user of bio-diesel in the entire state.
